Seacoast Development Group Inc.(SDG) is a small, woman-owned business.
All SDG products are developed by a retired Naval Engineer with 35+ years operational experience in tandem with a Motorola-trained Electrical Engineer, owner of Synthetic Technologies Inc.
In 1992, SDG was the only company that responded to the Damage Control Community's need for a non-hazardous rechargeable system for the DC Floodlight.
SDG battle lanterns are designed to meet the Damage Control Community's longstanding need for reliable emergency light -- a need that was highlighted by the attack on the USS Cole in October of 2000.
Beginning in 1998, SURFPAC ships received SDG conversion kits to upgrade their SYM 101.2 Battle Lanterns to SYM 101.3 Rechargeable Battle Lanterns.
Over 60,000 SDG Battle Lantern conversion kit units are now in service on USN, USCG, and Army Corps of Engineer vessels with no reported failures.
